Welcome to the "Crass & Unprintable Corner" of our Web site. Here you will find stories that, for a variety of reasons, we couldn’t comfortably put in print but that are just too good not to share with those of you who don’t object to the occasional expletive and some of the less seemly experiences of travel. If you think you might be offended, please stop reading. We have lots of other great stories to interest you. If you do choose to keep reading, enjoy! (Just don’t complain because we warned you!) One more caveat: By publishing these stories, we are not in any way encouraging you to try any of the activities described herein. In fact, being a mother, I am duty bound to point out that ingesting any unknown plant, whether in Austin or in India, is a spectacularly bad idea. But it’s a decision that grown ups get to make for themselves. And I hope you’ll agree it makes for a hell of story. We’ll publish more of Jim’s stories periodically in this space. If you want to know when a new story is up, go to our home page and subscribe to our e-newsletter. Lisa Roe Austin Traveler Magazine Publisher |

up out of the desert about 50 miles from the Pakistan border. |
